The GRO Death Register recorded William as being 32 years old when he died on 24 September 1902. From this, it would make his birth year as being around 1868, but no UK GRO 1868 birth has been found for a William Horrigan. It is possible that he had been born in Ireland.

On 7th February 1902, a labourer named William Horrigan was admitted to the Holborn Union Workhouse by someone called Birch. His year of birth was recorded as being 1868 and his religion as being Roman Catholic.  He was discharged to the police on February 10th 1902.

On 6th June 1902, an unemployed William Horrigan was admitted to the Holborn Union Workhouse by the police. Later discharge records show that he had come from St Luke’s parish. His year of birth was recorded again as being 1868 and his religion as being again Roman Catholic. William appears to have stayed there until 12th July 1902 when he was discharged into the care of Horton Asylum, Epsom.

William died on 19 September 1902 and was buried in grave 51 in the Horton Estate Cemetery on 24 September 1902.
