The short story of John Victor Smith who started as an attendant at Cane Hill Asylum, in Coulsdon, Surrey. By the time he arrived at Horton Asylum in Epsom, he was himself an inmate.

On his death

Here is the story of
A sad story of divorce, mental health issues for his mother and then for Frederick.
Frederick was a dentist mechanic.
He married in 1904 and was in Horton by 1906.
The cause
...of his death was given as pulmonary tuberculosis.
